Earth Science Building

Accessible Entrance (ramps, power activated doors, etc.)

• West entrance via sloped sidewalk and power activated doors provides access to the atrium that connects the Earth Science and Geology buildings
  • A ramp in the atrium provides access to 1^st floor 
• Northeast entrance of the Earth Science building via a ramp and power activated door also provides access to the 1^st floor and the atrium
• North enterance via power activated doors provides access to the basement and upper floors from the Lewis St. side

Accessible Parking (accessible spaces, paths, etc.)

• During construction (9/2012), there are 6 accessible spaces located in the 10th & Lewis parking lot south of the TransPark building with an accessible path to the north entrance of the Earth Science Building.

Elevators or Lifts

• Elevator is located on the south side of the Earth Science building near the atrium and services both the Geology and Earth Science buildings
  • Floors 2R and 3R are the lower levels of floors 2-3 in the Earth Science building
  • Use 2R and 3R to access the 2^nd and 3^rd floor of the Geology building

Accessible Restrooms

• Men's and Women's accessible restrooms are located on all floors
• The accessible restroom on the 1^st floor is located in the east corridor near the drinking fountains
• The accessible restrooms on the 2^nd and 3^rd floor are located on the lower levels (2R and 3R) near the elevators

Special Features

• The Area of Refuge is in the southwest corner of the basement, 1^st and 3^rd floor near the elevator
