What is Cybersecurity?
The cybersecurity certificate program is housed in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Department. Students study computer science, programming, networking, databases, security of systems and advanced topics! Through the program there’s access to specialized hardware and software specifically related to side channel evaluation and attacks.

Faculty involved with the cybersecurity certificate have brought in millions of dollars from local, state, government and industry sources to help support students and community members in developing their cybersecurity skills. Professors like John Hitchcock have been dedicated to our department for years, bringing expertise to our classrooms.
