Updated! Graduate Student Mentorship Program 2025: The purpose of this program is to create a setting where graduate students feel supported, encouraged, connected, and empowered by faculty/staff here at the University of Wyoming. This program will allow students to learn and grow from their respective mentors so that they may thrive during their time at UW. All graduate students, faculty, and staff interested in forming mentor partnerships that support eliminating barriers specific to graduate students. Commitment: Two meetings a month, consisting of one group meeting for all participants to learn, converse, and connect (one hour) and one individual one-on-one meeting between mentor and mentee. These meetings maybe on Zoom, in person, or a mixture of both. Enrollment for this program happens at the beginning of the Fall and Spring Semesters and there is no cost. Enrollment for the Spring 2025 semster is open! If you are interested in participating in this program, please complete the “Get to Know You” survey by Friday, February 14, 2025. Inclusionary Global Leardership Program: The Inclusionary and Global Leadership Program is a six-week leadership course focused on equipping participants with the foundational skills necessary to be inclusive leaders in an increasingly diverse world. Our hope is that participants of this program take the content learned and apply it to their specific spheres of influence here at the University of Wyoming and beyond.
Graduate Student Professional Development Program: Professoinal development programs may include workshops on a variety of topics including CV writing, social justice workshops, and learning about new research resources. Professional development events will be advertised as they become available for sign up.
Graduate Student Network: The Graduate Student Network offers students an opportunity to meet and network with graduate students across disciplines. GSN holds several events each year to connect graduate students with their peers as well as other faculty members. The events include write-ins, coffee hours and poster-presentations.
Graduate Student Council: A council of graduate students dedicated to ensuring that all graduate students have access to the resources and support to be successful. The council is made up of several graduate students who meet with higher administration to discuss updates to policies and programs.
