Announcements:

Irrigation System Leaks:  Please continue to report irrigation leaks. If you notice a leak, please take a picture of the leak with a brief description as to the location and then e-mail the Service Desk at SvcDsk@uwyo.edu.  This will help us greatly in getting the leak fixed.

Class Change Over:  Reminder to avoid driving in Prexy's Pasture during class changeover.  Pull over vehicle for duration of class changeover.

General Information & Maps:

Interactive Construction Map – The best quick reference for active capital construction projects, both vertical and civil can be found HERE. On the left side of the map, there are layers that you can select with the check boxes to change what is visible on the map. Click on the features on the map for information.

Vehicle Access to Core Campus - Vehicular traffic flow onto core campus will be restricted. Every effort must be made to keep vehicles off of the Prexy’s area during peak passing periods. The Berry Gate access, at 9 ½ Lewis street, will be the only access. Incoming vehicles must pass through this controlled entrance utilizing an authorized WyoOne card.

Ongoing & Current Projects:

Athletics Maintenance Facility (Shepard Construction Inc.; April 2024) – The facility will be built to the south adjacent to the Indoor Tennis Complex.  The two north outdoor tennis courts are closed. Site work and foundation activities are underway.  A southern portion of the Little League Fields Parking Lot north of Armory Road is sectioned off for the project staging and materials laydown area. The area is outlined on the interactive construction map that can be found HERE. Use caution around work areas.

Cheyenne FMR Clinic – Restroom Renovations (GH Phipps Wyoming, Inc.; Summer/ Fall 2023) -  Renovation of restrooms at the Cheyenne FMR Clinic is scheduled to begin the week of June 19, with completion scheduled for September.  Please use caution around construction activities, equipment, and materials.

Crane/Hill cafeteria, new insulation and roofing membrane (Big Horn Roofing, Spring/Summer 2023) – Big Horn roofing is adding insulation and a new roofing membrane to Crane/Hill cafeteria. Please use caution in the area and watch for equipment.

Landmark square apartments and Early Child Care and Education Center (ECEC) Parking lot improvements (Simon Construction, Summer 2023) – Simon Construction is removing and replacing the north & east parking lots of the Landmark Square Apartments. Please use caution in the area and watch for equipment.

Law Remodel and Addition - Construction is in full Swing with FCI for the project.

Prexy’s Pasture Utility Work – WCEP Phase II (GE Johnson, Inc., Jackson, WY; Fall 2023) – Work on the east side of 9^th St. will be complete from Ivinson to University by 9/20/2024. The transit stop west of the Classroom Building will be operated at the 9^th and Bradley St. (Science Initiative Building) until 9/20. Utility work will continue to the north into the fall semester with pedestrian detours required. The distribution piping work in Prexy’s is complete. Use caution around work areas. Please observe all construction signs and traffic control measures. Accessible detours are indicated by signage. Work will continue between Old Main and Biological Sciences into the fall semester, the piping installation is planned to be complete west to 9^th St. by the end of October, 2023.

Rochelle Athletic center (RAC) roofing membrane (Big Horn Roofing, Summer 2023) – Big Horn roofing will be removing and replacing a new roofing membrane to RAC starting in the next few weeks.  Please use caution in the area and watch for equipment.

Student Housing and Dining Project (JE Dunn Construction, Inc., Denver, CO; August 2025) – Please review the map found here for site access and traffic logistics. Excavation, grading, soil stabilization, and foundation activities on the north and south halls are in process. Please observe all construction signs and traffic control measures. Fifteenth St. has completely reopened. Please observe all detour signage and use caution around the active construction areas.

UWPD Block Building Removal (Prairie Equipment, LLC; August 2023) – Structure demolition is underway. Use caution around work areas. Please observe all construction signs and traffic control measures.

War Memorial Stadium West Stands Renovation (GE Johnson, Inc., Jackson, WY; January 2026) – Removal and replacement of the lower west stands will begin following the conclusion of the 2023 football season. The contractor will be fencing a section of the northwest corner of Tailgate Park for the construction job trailer area south of the Fieldhouse Parking Lot.  Please use caution in the area.
