No. Unless your card is lost, stolen or worn out, you do not receive a new card each year. Our system automatically updates your information from semester to semester. There is a replacement fee for any lost, stolen or damaged cards.
No. Your WyoOne ID card is non-transferable. It is your personal campus identification and only you should use it. If a cashier or reader attendant discovers that it is not you using the card, they may retain the card. You will then have to pay the replacement fee to have it replaced. In addition, it is against the student code of conduct to portray yourself as someone else. If you are caught using someone else's WyoOne ID, disciplinary action can be taken by the Dean of Students office.
If your photo was denied or you got your photo taken at the WyoOne ID Office, it will not automatically check off this task from your list in WyoWeb. Having this task as still pending will not affect your ability to do anything within WyoWeb, like registering for classes, accepting financial aid, or viewing transcripts. Once the semester begins, this task will be removed from your to-do list.
If the card is not working when tapped to the outside reader, please bring the card to the ID Office to have it examined.
If the card is not working when swiping into rooms, bathrooms, or apartments, please
take it to the front desk or to the basement of Washakie to have it re-encoded. If
this does not fix the problem, they will direct you to the ID Office to have it examined.
