The Graduate Program in Animal Science offers programs of study leading to the master of science degree in animal science, master of science degree in food science and human nutrition, and doctor of philosophy degree in animal science. Graduate students have opportunities for research, teaching, publishing, grant writing, and attending scientific meetings. University assistantships are available on a competitive basis. Assistantships, contracts and grants may also be available along with part-time work and student loans. Assistantship applications are included with other UW Graduate Education application materials.
