ECTL accepting applications for Assessment Academy. The ECTL in conjunction with the University Assessment Coordinators is seeking department and program applications for the 2nd annual Assessment Academy. Departments and programs accepted into the academy will receive $1500 to work on a specific assessment project. Applications are due October 7 to Meg Skinner. UW piloting the Critical Thinking Assessment Test. The Office of Academic Affairs in conjunction with the University Assessment Coordinators and ECTL will be engaged in a pilot study using the Critical Thinking Assessment Test during the 2011-2012 academic year. Three programs will be participating in the study including Pharmacy, Social Work, and Veterinary Sciences. For more information on this exciting new project, click here.

UW recruiting freshmen students for Collegiate Learning Assessment. In fall 2011, the Office of Academic Affairs will be recruiting 100 incoming freshmen to participate in the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA) Study. UW participated a longitudinal study using the CLA from 2005 to 2009. This is a follow-up cross-sectional (one year) study that will go from fall 2011 through spring 2012.
