Agriculture and Bird Habitat Tour

Highlights include: Dr. Allen Williams presentation on the current status of grass-fed and pasture raised beef in the US, news from international grassland neighbors, current conservation work in the field, NRCS soil demonstration, bird banding, and lots of networking.

Foster relationships and greater collaboration in order to further producer and conservation goals for all participants.

Introduction to Chainsaw Safety and Use

September 12th, 9am – 7pm

Cost: $75 (includes lunch, snacks, saw fuel, and bar oil).

University of Wyoming Extension is partnering with The Nature Conservancy to offer an introductory chainsaw class especially for women. Learn to safely and effectively use a chainsaw to fell small trees and cut firewood. Participants will be removing Russian Olive along the Shoshone River.

Want to learn to operate a chainsaw, or gain additional confidence and experience? Want to learn about using a chainsaw for Russian Olive removal? This class is for you!

Class size is limited, registration is required.
