The more time you spend on getting to know the campus and your new friends, the more you'll feel at home at UW. Take advantage of all the cultural and social events that happen on campus!

Try one of these excellent campus services!

Oral Communications Lab

  • Provides services to enhance individual's oral communication/ presentation skills

  • Offers assistance to help alleviate fears of public speaking

  • One-on-one tutoring in presentation development

Student Learning Center

  • Free tutoring services to all students on a drop-in basis Sunday through Thursday

The Writing Center

  • Works with writers across campus at every stage of the writing process from brainstorming through final drafts.

Math Lab

  • Assistance to all UW students and staff through the Math Lab, with priority given to students with questions in algebra, trig, and calculus

  • Math Lab is informal. They don't make appointments. You may stay 10 minutes, or you can stay all day. Come to check your work, or ask the helpers to guide you through a problem or a procedure.

Research & Libraries

  • Librarians can assist you in refining a research topic, developing a search strategy, selecting a database, and locating factual information.

  • Consider the "Book a Librarian" services, in which students, staff, and faculty can schedule an appointment with a UW librarian to assist you with your specific research needs.

SEO (Student Educational Opportunity)

  • Student Success Services assists eligible students at the University of Wyoming to achieve academic success by providing assistance in a number of areas including academic, personal, and financial.

  • Your are eligible for SEO's services if you are a first generation college student (meaning that neither parent has completed a four year degree), you meet income eligibility guidelines, or you have a physical or learning disability

Counseling Center

  • The University Counseling Center can provide assistance for students who may suffer from Text Anxiety, as well as other problems that interfere with academic progress, daily living, adjustment to university life, substances, or relationship issues.

College Coordinators

  • The Academic Coordinator for your college can also help you find resources available to their students.
