Mestobregma plattei (Thomas)

Mestobregma plattei is an uncommon grasshopper in eastern Wyoming and probably occurs throughout the
state in limited areas. Its preferred habitat is shortgrasses with areas of barren
rocky soil. Eggs overwinter in the soil. Adults were collected in late July and August.
Its feeding habits are not well studied. It is not economically damaging in Wyoming.
