Graduate Student Involvement Opportunities

As a graduate student, your involvement in non-academic arenas will create a unique and fulfilling experience.  Below are examples of opportunities at the University of Wyoming that you likely won't get anywhere else!

On Campus Opportunities

  • You will have the opportunity to interact with faculty and students from around the world.

  • You have the opportunity to become involved in many clubs and organizations.  Within the department is our graduate student organization, RenUW, the student chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society, the Entomology Club, and the Reclamation Outreach and Research club (ROaR).  There are many other clubs open to graduate students on campus.

  • The department and college have various scholarships and fellowships available to graduate students in addition to graduate assistantships.

  • You have the opportunity to gain research and teaching experience beyond your own research project.
