FIG Description:
This is a strongly encouraged interest group for declared theatre majors studying performance, playwriting, or musical theatre or design and technology. It is provided as an introduction to the fundamentals of their respective discipline(s). Classes will focus on such subjects as acting, audition preparation, research techniques, writing, and production design and development. It is strongly encouraged for first year students and will assist in academic development and pre-professional networking skills among peers.

TH&D 1020 - Freshman Seminar: Academic and Professional Issues in Theatre & Dance - 1 credit [I,L]
Students will also be placed into one of the following based on their academic emphasis:
TH&D 1200 -Introduction to Stage Design - 3 credits
TH&D 2220 - Stagecraft - 3 credits
