Toward the end of World War II, a group of German Officers, including Claus von Stauffenberg, plotted a coup to assassinate Adolph Hitler and seize power of the military command in order to end the war. The operation was code-named "Valkyrie" and while it was detailed and passionately carried out, it ultimately failed when launched on July 20, 1944. The planning and execution of the mission is presented in impressive fashion in this epic.
