GOLD STEM CAMP

Come attend a STEM summer day camp in beautiful heart of the Rocky Mountain West in perfect summer weather!

The Gold STEM Summer Camp for rising 7th-12th grade students is located at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, in the heart of the Rocky Mountain West. The university has state-of-the-art facilities in many areas, and the community provides the advantages of a major university. Laramie has a very mild summer climate, making it ideal for outdoor activities and walking around the campus. Located in a high mountain valley near the Colorado border, Laramie offers outstanding recreational opportunities. This beautiful mountain landscape offers outdoor enjoyment in all seasons, with over 300 days of sunshine annually. For more information about the region, please visit here.

Course Offerings

Each student will be scheduled to take four mini-courses. Project-Based Learning (PBL) will be the primary instructional method used so that students have some freedom in choosing their design. The courses will be selected from the following:

  • Mathematical Creativity
  • Coding/Cryptography
  • Bridge Building
  • Microcontroller
  • Musical Instrument Design
  • Parachute Construction
  • 3D Printing
  • SAT Math Prep
  • Foreign Language
  • Catapult Design
  • Jet Robot Car/Robotics
  • UAV(Drones)
  • Statistics/Data analysis
