Joining a fraternity or sorority at UW is a popular option for many students. Though only 5% of Wyoming undergraduate students are members of fraternities & sororities, this group represents the strongest leaders and students at the University. As with most schools, the University of Wyoming offers students many options, with twelve individual chapters present on campus.
If a man entering / attending the University of Wyoming, one of the
University's eight fraternity chapters could be your home. These
chapters, described in more detail HERE, have a variety of interests,
core focuses, ideals, and memberships that can easily match any student
who investigates them.
If a woman, the University of Wyoming has four sorority chapters to choose from. Again, each offers distinctive qualities unlike the others, allowing for any lady to find the home that is right for her.
Each chapter focuses on different things, and in different amounts. Some focus much of their efforts on philanthropies. Others place most of their interest on scholastics. Others still find friendship and social gathering the most important part of college. All, however, look to better their members during their stay at UW.
Though each chapter is unique from the others, all have similar opportunities for members, and all have the potential of making you the best you can be at UW.
Though clearly not a complete explanation, this summary should give you a clear understanding of some of the reasons being Greek can make you a better person, and extend your life opportunities.
So, now understanding how it can help you, how will you make a difference once you've come to the table?
