Student Clinic Director: John Fritz

Originally from Streetman, Texas, Fritz has pursued his education in Wyoming. He attended Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs where he earned dual Associates Degrees in political science and mathematics. He then attended the University of Wyoming where he finished a Bachelor’s Degree in political science.

Prior to attending law school, Fritz gained a lot of exposure to law and policy through multiple high-profile internships. He interned with Senator Mike Enzi in Washington D.C. and then again with Senator Chris Rothfuss in the Wyoming Legislature.

A son of a coal miner, Fritz’s interests lay mainly in energy and natural resource law. He hopes to gain valuable experience as the Student Director for the EENR Clinic to enhance his ability to advocate for good policy implementation in the natural resources field, and to help facilitate economic growth in the development sector.

Whilst in law school, Fritz has participated in an internship with the General Counsel's office for the University, and an externship with United States Magistrate Judge for Wyoming, Kelly Rankin. He is a staff member for the Wyoming Law Review, and has continually competed in the Davis & Cannon Energy Law Moot Court Competition, which he recently just won with his teammate this year. He will travel to New York in the Spring to compete in the National Competition.
