Career Services Director

Anetra D. E. Parks is the Director of Law Career Services at the University of Wyoming College of Law.  Prior to joining the University of Wyoming College of Law, Anetra practiced law from July 2002 to October 2006 in Boulder, Colorado, at the law firm of Greene, Meyer & McElroy, P.C., specializing in Indian law (water law, gaming, sovereign immunity, federal recognition and other legal issues unique to Native American tribes).  Anetra also served for one year as a judicial clerk at the Ho-Chunk Nation Tribal Court in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, from 2001 to 2002.  In law school, Anetra was president of the CU-Boulder chapter of the Native American Law Students Association; interned for the Native American Rights Fund, both in their Boulder office and their Anchorage office; and volunteered at the National Indian Law Library in Boulder, Colorado.

As Director of Law Career Services, Anetra provides resume and cover letter review and career counseling for law students and alumni.  Anetra plans and institutes career trainings; organizes, maintains and distributes information involving career services, CLE's, on campus interviews and other career services events.  Anetra develops ongoing relationships with local, regional and national employers to improve employer satisfaction with the recruiting process, as well as provide better career assistance to law students and alumni.  Anetra has a B.A. in Classics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a J.D. from the University of Colorado College of Law.  Anetra is presently an active member of NALP (the Association for Legal Career Professionals), Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Indian Bar Association, Boulder County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Denver Area Legal Recruiters Association.
