Our law school was a founding sponsor of AudioCaseFiles, which later evolved into CVN Lawschool. CVN Lawschool contains downloadable audio files of court opinions, podcasts from law professors and law students, and a series of videos. Registering an account, with your law school email address, will give you unlimited, free access to this resource. The media is in MP3 format and once downloaded, the audio can be played from a personal computer, burned to a CD, or used on a portable player such as an iPod.

HeinOnline provides access to primary law and secondary sources and is continually expanding. Primary law databases include the Federal Register, the Code of Federal Regulations, session laws, AG opinions, English Reports, Supreme Court opinions, and treaties. HeinOnline's secondary source databases include the Legal Classics library and the HeinOnline Law Journal Library which provide full coverage of almost all American law journals from their inception. The Legal Scholarship Network is a part of the Social Science Research Network whose objective is to provide worldwide distribution of research to authors and their readers. Authors are invited to upload papers without charge, and any paper an author uploads is downloadable for free. Select the University of Wyoming as an affiliate when registering to have the highest level of access to full-text articles.

LegalTrac indexes nearly 2,000 titles including major law reviews, legal newspapers, bar association journals and international legal journals. Titles included in LegalTrac are selected by a special advisory committee of the American Association of Law Libraries and are therefore highly regarded. LegalTrac offers limited access to the full-text of articles, so check in our WebHopper library catalog to see if our library subscribes to the needed journal. ProQuest History: Law and Society since the Civil War

The ProQuest History: Law and Society since the Civil War collection includes American legal manuscripts from the Harvard Law School Library. These are the papers of Albert Levitt, Felix Frankfurter, Livingston Hall, Louis D. Brandeis, Richard H. Field, Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., Roscoe Pound, the Sacco-Vanzetti Case, Sheldon Glueck, William H. Hastie, and Zechariah Chafee. Taken together, Frankfurter’s and Brandeis’s papers provide a behind-the-scenes view of the Supreme Court between 1919 and 1961. Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. Papers include Holmes’s correspondence from 1861 through 1935. ProQuest Legislative Insight

Legislative Insight Part A currently offers more than 18,000 professionally researched legislative histories from 1929-2013. Legislative Insight Part B will make 9,000 additional histories available. The histories will be loaded on an ongoing basis with all 9,000 histories online by the end of 2014. Part B focuses on laws prior to 1929, but it will also include additional histories from 1929-1962 that were not included in Part A. These databases also provide tribal law resources not available in UW's WestlawNext Campus Research subscription.  Both versions of Patron Access are available from the three computers located in the library reference room only.
