Amber Sturdevant

McMurry Graduate Assistant

Amber is from Gillette, Wyoming originally. She completed her undergraduate degree in Music Education from the University of Wyoming in 2018. After that, she taught 5th-12th grade band and choir in Upton, Wyoming for three years. In 2021, she returned to the University of Wyoming to obtain her master's degree in music education which she received in May of 2023. She is back at the university for one more year to further her conducting studies. Throughout her master's program and continuing this year, she has worked as a teaching assistant with the Western Thunder Marching Band and Symphonic Band. Throughout her time at UW, she has performed with the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony. PS She has an adorable dog named Flynn!
