Kaffeestunde

Wednesday at 3:30 in Cheney Center first floor IRC lounge

Students, professors and other interested German speakers gather to practice their German and keep up with current events in German-speaking countries while enjoying coffee and cookies. Participants often play Scrabble to help build vocabulary skills. For more information, please contact Mark Person.

La Table Francaise

Thursday, 4-5pm, in Hoyt Hall Language Lounge, RM 223

Tertulia Espanola

Meeting time TBA in Hoyt Hall Language Lounge, RM 223

This Spanish club has a membership open to any student with an interest in the Spanish language and the cultures of the many peoples who speak it. The organization meets twice a month with one business meeting and one activity per month. Past activities have included guest speakers discussing current events or a specific area of interest, a session dealing with how to access international chat lines on the computer and Spanish movie nights. Spanish Conversation Tables

Wednesday and Thursday, 3:10-4, in Hoyt Hall Language Lounge, RM 223

These tables offer a chance to practice Spanish conversation skills as well as get help with homework.

Russian Table

Please come to join in Russian chat, discussion of political and cultural topics, and a chance to share impressions of travel or potential travel to Russia. All are welcome!  For more information, please contact Joe Krafczik.

Foreign Film Series

The language department uses its growing film collection to sponsor occasional foreign film series. These free showings are open to the campus at large and are presented in the departmental video theater in Hoyt Hall. Films are available to all high school language classes in Wyoming as well as to civic groups.
