UW and Wyoming SBDC Network to Host Marketing Calendar Workshop Jan. 16

Many small-business owners may not be getting the results they desire from business events and feel overwhelmed adding events to an already busy schedule. To help alleviate this stress and better schedule their events, small-business owners will have an opportunity to prepare their own marketing calendars Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Kenny Overby and Drew James will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network workshop titled “Prepare a 12-Month Marketing Calendar” from noon-1 p.m. at the Laramie County Library, located at 2200 Pioneer Ave. in Cheyenne. To register, go here. Registration is free.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

This workshop will cover creating a 12-month marketing calendar and best practices for small-business owners to get the most out of their events.

Overby is the Wyoming SBDC Network’s regional director for Goshen and Laramie counties. His entrepreneurial journey began at age 15 when he started his first business. He spent the past two years with the Colorado SBDC Network and brings experience in growing from startup to multiple locations, marketing and employee management. 

James is a veterans business development specialist for the Wyoming district office of the U.S. SBA.
