Award: – $500 donated to Recognized Student Organization and certificate.
Criteria: – Award is based on the most well rounded Recognized Student Organization. Award selection committee will consider attributes such as; co-sponsorship of fellow RSO events, recruitment (increase in membership), participation in community service initiatives, implementation of new program(s), visibility on campus, commitment to diversity, membership strives to be positive role models, works well with the University and Laramie community, etc.
Award: – $250 donated to Recognized Student Organization and certificate.
Criteria: – Award is based on Recognized Student Organization that provides positive and effective community service. Efforts can be focused on one large service and/or multiple services. Award selection committee will consider such factors as; how many members of the RSO participated, what was the impact of the service, etc.
Award: – $250 donated to Recognized Student Organization and certificate.
Criteria: – Award will be given to the Recognized Student Organization that works most effectively with other RSO’s, University departments and the Laramie community. RSO should consider getting involved with other RSO’s to create successful programs that benefit the entire campus. In addition, RSO can show examples of experiences where they have successfully worked with the University or Community. For example, if they worked with AWARE, Greek Life, Friday Night Fever, etc. towards the success of a particular program. We encourage groups to volunteer their time and efforts to help with promoting events and help during an event, co-sponsorship does not require the exchange of money.
Award: – Plaque and dinner at Altitudes.
Criteria: – Must be an advisor for a current recognized student organization. The advisor must advise a group that has had current RSO status for the 2004/2005 academic year. Nominees will be evaluated by a group of current UW students and will be based on their contribution and service to the students of the University of Wyoming, commitment toward RSOs constitution and purpose, knowledge of university policies and procedure, visibility and participation in RSO activities and meetings and their reliability, responsibility and dependability.
All groups considered must have current Recognized Student Organization status and activities must occur while status is active.
