Application Process and Materials
Applicants for admission to the Master of Social Work Program must fulfill the general admission requirements established by the University of Wyoming, as well as the requirements specific to the Division of Social Work.
The application process has changed this year. All applicants must apply to the University of Wyoming using the online graduate application tool.

If you are interested in a graduate assistantship, please use this form Graduate Assistantship Application Form and submit it with your application.
International students applying to the University of Wyoming must complete additional information that can be found on the Graduate International Student Admissions page.
A direct application to the Division of Social Work is no longer a requirement for admission to the graduate program.
The following items should be included as attachments (in either Word or PDF formats) to your online application:
An application fee of $30 paid through Cash Net;
- Division of Social Work MSW Face Sheet;
- Copies of all undergraduate transcripts;
- TOEFL scores for international applicants;
- At least three (3) letters of recommendation;

- A personal essay;
- An academic essay (Advanced Standing Program, Standard Program);
- An up-to-date academic resume;
- Final Field Evaluation of BSW Field Practicum (Advanced Standing Program Only).

Background Check Information
