Cindy Unger, a business counselor in the University of Wyoming Small Business Development Center (WSBDC) office in Casper, has been selected as the America's Small Business Development Center (ASBDC) 2008 State Star. The award was presented at a special reception in Chicago.

She was chosen for being an exemplary performer, making a significant contribution to the Wyoming SBDC program and showing a strong commitment to small businesses in the state.

"I am pleased to recognize Cindy for extraordinary contributions to the work of the Wyoming SBDC and small business in our state," says Diane Wolverton, WSBDC state director.

"It is an honor to accept this award and to have the opportunity to help entrepreneurs achieve the dream of starting and succeeding in their own business," says Unger.

The Casper SBDC office serves Converse, Natrona, Niobrara and Platte Counties.

ASBDC Network is a partnership uniting private enterprise, government, higher education and local nonprofit economic development organizations.
