UW Risk Manager Eric Blomfelt was among six members of the University Risk Management & Insurance Association (URMIA) selected to receive the association's 2009 Annual Conference Scholarship.
The scholarship program provides educational opportunities for higher education risk management professionals by providing financial support of their participation at URMIA's 40th Annual Conference in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 12-16.
With more than 14 years of experience in risk management and insurance, Blomfelt is a nationally-recognized expert and instructor in the field of risk management and holds Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certifications.
He received his B.A. in journalism and a J.D. in law from UW.
