Ann Jones, Center for Advising and Career Services assistant director at the University of Wyoming, is the recipient of the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE) Outstanding Service Award.

Jones was presented the award at the recent MPACE conference. Each year an MPACE member is honored with this award for demonstrating leadership or professional contributions in the field of career planning and placement or recruiting and college relations.

She has active in MPACE for nine years, assisting with and attending annual and monthly conferences and teleconferences, serving on the MPACE board as Mountain North Regional director as well as serving on other various committees.

"This organization has helped me grow professionally and has allowed me to obtain and keep connections with career services professionals and corporate recruiters across an 11-state region," she says. "My participation in MPACE has allowed me to have complete confidence knowing that the University of Wyoming and the Center for Advising and Career Services provides services to its constituents that are right in line with what colleagues in neighboring states provide."

MPACE provides leadership leadership training in recognizing changes and trends affecting career services and college relations. The organization also is a resource for professional training and development, allowing members to share ideas and knowledge and to market and support professional and ethical principles.

"Ann is deserving of this award. She provides excellent service to not only UW students and alumni, but to her colleagues that are members of MPACE," says Jo Chytka, Center for Advising and Career Services director. "We are proud of her accomplishment."
