Cameron Wright
Cameron Wright, associate professor in the UW Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, received the Rocky Mountain Bioengineering Symposium (RMBS) President's Award for 2010. This award recognizes longstanding contributions to the RMBS.
A faculty member since 2003, Wright directs the Wyoming Information, Signal Processing, and Robotics (WISPR) Laboratories in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. He specializes in computer/robot vision sensor research, real-time digital signal processing and biomedical sensors and instrumentation.
Among his many honors are two Mortar Board "Top Prof"' awards, and two Outstanding Professor of the Year awards presented by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers student chapter.
The RMBS has been held annually since 1964, making it the oldest continually held
biomedical engineering conference in North America. Originally held at sites in and
around the Rocky Mountain area, the conference now attracts attendees from throughout
the United States and several other nations.
