Kemmerer Scholarships Awarded

The University of Wyoming recently awarded John L. Kemmerer Jr. Scholarships to superior students studying in several disciplines.

Scholarship recipients are undergraduate students of any academic major who are from Kemmerer, Dubois or Cokeville and who demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and a minimum ACT score of 21. They must also demonstrate leadership through extracurricular activities.

The scholarship was established in 1992 by the Kemmerer family to help young motivated students from the Kemmerer area.

Scholarship recipients, listed by hometown, are:

Cokeville -- Michaela Thompson (undeclared).

Dubois -- Brooke Bodar (speech therapy), Carlie Ideker (anthropology), John Lee (mechanical engineering) and Nicholas Luedde (finance).

Kemmerer -- Kim Cattelan (chemical engineering), John Cattelan (mechanical engineering), Amy Crank (animal and veterinary science), Aaron Richardson (speech therapy) and Luke Tyrrell (physiology).
