Winter Weather Driving Workshop for UW Students Feb. 8

February 2, 2011

Dangerous road conditions may be old news to some University of Wyoming students, but help is offered to those who are unfamiliar with driving in this environment.

Student Affairs and Service, Leadership and Community Engagement will sponsor a Bridgestone Winter Driving School workshop conducted by a winter driving expert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, in Room 133 of the UW Classroom Building.

The workshop will offer instruction on maintaining and regaining car control in bad weather situations while also covering a broad range of winter driving information, from personal and vehicle preparation, fundamentals of driving dynamics, proper braking technique and skid control.

Seating is limited to the first 40 students. For more information, e-mail Matt Caires caires@uwyo.edu.
