Wyoming CO₂ Conference July 13-14 in Casper


June 24, 2011 — The fifth annual Wyoming CO₂ Conference, hosted by the University of Wyoming's Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI), will be July 13-14 at the Casper Events Center.

One of the nation's premier events of its kind, the Wyoming CO₂ Conference will include presentations and updates on current CO₂ (carbon dioxide) operations in Wyoming, state and federal legislative updates and information on new technology and development.

Tracy Evans of Denbury Resources will give the keynote address at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, on Denbury's extensive investments in enhanced oil recovery. Representatives from EORI, Carbon Energy, Chevron, Devon Energy, DKRW Advanced Fuels/Medicine Bow Fuel and Power, Elk Petroleum, ExxonMobil, Linc Energy, the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and the Wyoming Pipeline Authority will also speak at the two-day conference.

The EORI works to help the state of Wyoming and its energy producers to recover a large resource of stranded oil in depleted oil reservoirs as rapidly, responsibly, and economically as possible. EORI is the only institution devoted to enhanced oil recovery in Wyoming oil fields.
