February 26, 2020 — United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Neil M. Gorsuch will visit the University of Wyoming College of Law and campus Sept. 16-17 in honor of the College of Law’s 100th anniversary. Gorsuch will make two public appearances where the public can attend.

February 26, 2020 — A trio will perform as part of the University of Wyoming Department of Music’s Faculty Recital Series Tuesday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall. The performance is free and open to the public.

Casper Start-Up Challenge Winners Pitch for Seed Fund, Move into WTBC

February 25, 2020 — The three winning companies from the 2019 Casper Start-Up Challenge applied for their share of the challenge’s $50,000 seed fund during a pitch event Feb. 7.

UW Researchers Contribute to Follow-Up Study of First Quantifiable Observation of Cloud Seeding

February 24, 2020 — Two University of Wyoming researchers contributed to a paper that demonstrated, for the first time, direct observation of cloud seeding using radar and gauges to quantify the snowfall. Traditionally, cloud seeding -- used to increase winter snowpack -- has been evaluated using precipitation gauges and target/control statistics that led mostly to inconclusive results.

UW’s Wind River Startup Challenge Deadline Extended

February 24, 2020 — The University of Wyoming’s Wind River Startup Challenge (WRSC) has garnered significant interest, with more than 40 Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho entrepreneurs participating in the first workshop in mid-January.

February 21, 2020 — The University of Wyoming Division of Social Work has been awarded $55,000 by the National Council for Behavioral Health (NCBH) to prepare students to lead the charge against the opioid epidemic in Wyoming and the United States.
