Virtual Town Hall for UW Students Tuesday

University of Wyoming students and interested parents are invited to a virtual town-hall meeting Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 5:30 p.m. to learn more about the university’s fall return plan.

The session will air on WyoCast at https://wyolinks.uwyo.edu/FallReturnStudentsAug4.

Following a welcome by President Ed Seidel and a brief presentation on measures the university is taking to have a successful semester amid the COVID-19 pandemic, students and parents will be allowed to submit written questions via WyoCast. Instructions on how to submit questions may be found here.

“There are many moving parts to our plan for the fall semester, requiring new and different approaches for just about everyone associated with UW,” Seidel says. “We hope this virtual town hall will help bring more clarity for our students and their families as the semester approaches, and allow for questions to be answered in a manner that will provide broad guidance and important details.”

Topics that may be addressed include how classes are being handled; the overall student experience, including residence halls, dining and activities; and financial and other resources to assist students.

UW’s fall semester classes begin Aug. 24, with a mixture of in-person and online instruction.
