Vedauwoo Rocks

Its name derived from a Native American word meaning "earth-born spirit," the 1.4-billion-year-old granite formations of the Vedauwoo area in the Medicine Bow National Forest east of Laramie are home to world-class rock climbing routes, as well as great picnicking, hiking, camping, and mountain biking.  (UW photo)
