LREC Mission Statement              

The mission of the Laramie Research and Extension Center (LREC) is to serve the citizens of Wyoming, the region and the nation by providing the faculty, staff and students of the University of Wyoming quality resources to excel in research, teaching and outreach.

About LREC

The Laramie Research and Extension Center (LREC) was established March of 2011, though the individual buildings have been around much longer, some since 1890. LREC is located in Laramie at an elevation of 7,200 feet.

The Laramie R&E Center consists of a Beef Unit, Swine Unit, Sheep unit, the UW Research Greenhouse, McGuire Ranch, and Lab Animal facilities.

LREC is spread out around Laramie and the surrounding areas. Please look under location and facilities for more information.
