What is the CVS? - Top
The mission of the UW Center for Volunteer Service is to engage the UW community in civic participation and volunteer service, and to facilitate the campus community’s response to needs in the larger community of our city, state, nation and the world.

What can the CVS do for me? - Top
We can help you identify your areas of interest for volunteering, whether you want to work on a particular issue or learn new skills. Then we can help you find community organizations in Laramie , Wyoming or around the world that match your interests.

What can the CVS do for my student group? - Top
We can talk with your group on a range of topics:

• Volunteering 101: Why volunteer, how to find opportunities, and the roles and responsibilities of volunteers.
• Volunteering 201: Does your student group already do service projects? Learn how to make service more meaningful and effective.
• Build Your Résumé through Volunteering: How to identify and get the skills you want to build through volunteering.
• And much more! Want a specific presentation? Just ask!

• UW Volunteers Program: Check out our binders or online database full of volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups. Get involved!
• Volunteer Service Days: During the spring semester we will be sponsoring two Volunteer in Action! Service Days. Join us September 9th for an afternoon of giving back.
• Alternative Spring Break: Discover great ways to have fun and make a difference during UW’s Spring Break.
