February 11, 2013 -- The University of Wyoming hockey club ended the season on a good note, capturing the win against University of Colorado - Boulder.
For the second time this season, the Cowboys (11-8) fought hard all game against the Buffaloes (6-17) to come out with a victory. Wyoming, now No. 13 in the Pacific Region rankings, beat Colorado 7-4 Saturday night to cap off their season.
Levi Wood (Cheyenne, Wyo.) and Noah Crank (Cheyenne, Wyo.) both netted two goals and each getting an assist for the Cowboys Saturday night. Beau Jackson (Sundre, Alberta) also recorded two goals for the Pokes and Alan Morton (Casper, Wyo.) received two assists.
Ethan Crockett (Cheyenne, Wyo.), Mitchell Nelson (Sheridan, Wyo.), Dustin Snare (Dillsburg, Pa.), And Tyson Hertz (Duchess, Alberta) all contributed a point towards the victory.
Wyoming (11-8) has reached the end of their season falling just three spots short in the rankings from advancing to the Regional Tournament. This year’s tournament is being held in Springfield, Illinois and the National Tournament is in Springfield, Missouri.
