Information Services

As are all UCEDDs, WIND is charged with disseminating the resources and research it manages and produces. This core function is supported through the various Information Services activities and projects WIND directs. The primary goals of the WIND Information Services include:

  • Organizing and managing the information WIND already has
  • Gather in an organized manner new materials
  • Disseminate the materials and resources WIND collects and produces
  • Develop new methods of disseminating information with a special emphasis on utilizing new technologies
  • Facilitate the sharing of information within the organization
  • Facilitate the sharing of information amongst organizations WIND works with

Dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities, family members, and Wyoming citizens at large, WIND has many different ways of distributing the information it manages. WIND engages in activities such as information dissemination projects like Connect Wyoming and Pathways Plus Database, document sharing through the WIND Resource Library, and exploring new technologies for distributing information through the WIND Web Services.
