How to Search the Resource Directory
The Resource Directory can be searched in be selecting either a location or types of service, or both, by making a choice in the drop down lists.
Drop Down List
The drop down lists allow you to combine both geographic and service search options. This helps you be more specific about the resources that are provided on the results page.
Two options are available in the drop down list area:
- Select a Location
- Select a Service
Select a Location
You can start your search by first selecting a location. There are two options for selecting locations: county or city. You may only select one of these two options at a time.
Hint: If you select a specific town and don't receive any results, try selecting the specific county that the town is in. This will widen your search to a county level and should provide more results.
Select a Service
There are a number of services available to choose from in the service drop down list. By selecting a service and then clicking on the Search button, only programs matching that specific topic will be provided in the results page.
Hint: If you don't find the topic or term you are looking for in the list, try searching the full version of Pathways Plus.
Combining Both Location and Service Selections
You can choose both a geographic location and a service to focus your search even more. All you have to do is first select either a county or city, and then choose a term from the service list. By doing this, the results page will display only programs which match the selected service and provide that service in the specific geographic location that you selected.
Results Page
After clicking on the Search button, you will see a list of programs matching your search. The list will include the title of the program and the city in which it is located.
You can click on the title of each program to see the Program Description for each one.
Additionally, you will find a check box next to each title. By selecting one or more of the check boxes, you can:
- Display ALL of the selected records on one screen
- Print a list of the selected records without all the web page images and navigation
These options can be very useful if you would like to see the information on more than one program at a time or would like to send records to yourself or someone else.
Program Descriptions
When you click on the title of a specific program, a complete description of the services provided by that program will be displayed. The information shown will include:
- Complete contact information
- Information about intake procedures, eligibility requirements, fees and hours of operation
- A brief description of the services provided
