senior pathways help

This information has been provided to help you more effectively use Senior Pathways. If you have difficulty finding the programs or would like additional information about Connect Wyoming, please feel free to contact us at: connect@uwyo.edu.

Senior Pathways uses the Pathways Plus database which is a part of the Connect Wyoming project. Pathways Plus provides the most comprehensive and current collection of human services information specific to the state of Wyoming.

How to Search Senior Pathways

Senior Pathways can be searched in two ways. You can search for program information by either:

  1. Clicking a specific county on the Wyoming map

    or by

  2. Making a choice in the drop down lists

Wyoming Map

By simply clicking on a specific county on the Wyoming map, a list of all the senior services for that county will be listed on the results page. If you don't find what you are searching for, try returning to the main Senior Pathways search page and either select a different county on the map, or use the drop down lists to narrow or widen your search.

If these options still don't provide the results you need, try using the full version of the Pathways Plus database, located in the Connect Wyoming web site.

Drop Down List

The drop down lists allow you to combine both geographic and service search options. This helps you be more specific about the resources that are provided on the results page.

Two options are available in the drop down list area:

  • Select a Location
  • Select a Service

Select a Location

You can start your search by first selecting a location. There are two options for selecting locations: county or city. You may only select one of these two options at a time.

Hint: If you select a specific town and don't receive any results, try selecting the specific county that the town is in. This will widen your search to a county level and should provide more results.

Select a Service

There are 14 services available to choose from in the keyword drop down list. By selecting a service and then clicking on the Search button, only programs matching that specific keyword will be provided in the results page.

Hint: If you don't find the term you are looking for in the list, try searching the full version of Pathways Plus.

Combining both Location and Service Selections

You can choose both a geographic location and a service to focus your search even more. All you have to do is first select either a county or city, and then choose a term from the service list. By doing this, the results page will display only programs which match the selected service and provide that service in the specific geographic location that you selected.

Results Page

After clicking on the Search button, you will be provided a list of programs matching your search. The list will include the title of the program and the city in which it is located.

Additionally, you will find small check boxes next to each title. By selecting one or more of the check boxes, you can:

These options can be very useful if you would like a single list of programs or would like to send a single record or a list of records to yourself or someone else.

Program Descriptions

When you click on the title of a specific program, a complete description of the services provided by that program will be displayed. The information shown will include:
