Wyoming INBRE funding is intended to enhance biomedical research capacity, expand and strengthen the research capabilities of biomedical faculty, and provide access to biomedical resources for promising students throughout the eligible states. UW INBRE Summer 2024 Undergraduate Research Internship - research proposal/application and faculty letters due ONLINE FRIDAY April 5, 2024 5pm MDT. Summer Award is $6000 (400 hours at $15/hr) for May 20-July 26, 2024. APPLY ONLINE.

2024 Wyoming INBRE Community College-University of Wyoming Transition Student Program RFA - offers competitive awards for outstanding community college life science students who are transferring to the University of Wyoming to pursue careers in the biomedical sciences and/or allied health fields. Applications and letters of recommendation due by Friday, March 22, 2024 by 11:59 pm, late or incomplete applications will NOT be considered

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY - 2024- 25 Collaborative Research Project
The goal of this program is to support research projects that engage University and Wyoming Community College researchers and students in projects with the potential to produce publishable results and develop into fundable programs at NIH and other federal agencies. Full Proposals are due by 5:00 pm on Friday, January 19, 2024.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY - 2024-25 Graduate Research Assistantship
The purpose of the Wyoming INBRE Graduate Assistantship is to provide support for training Ph.D. students in biomedically related sciences. Applicants for the award must be qualified to advise Ph.D. students. Applications are due by 5:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2024.

DECEMBER 2023: Dr. Bret Freudenthal from the University of Kansas Medical Center gives a talk titled “Visualizing DNA Repair at the Atomic Level” on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at UW Casper, University Union Building, Room 421.

Request for Letters of Interest for WY INBRE Bridge Funding due by 5:00 pm on Monday, November 27, 2023 in order to explore the possibility of providing bridge-type funding to investigators who are actively competing for grants from the NIH or other major funding agencies focused on human health and disease.
