AGEC Alumni Industry Engagement Network

Overview

The Alumni Industry Engagement Network was developed to give students the opportunity to engage with successful UW alumni! The network is lead by the Steering Committee. How The Network Can Benefit You!

The Alumni Industry Engagement Network was developed to give students the opportunity to engage with successful UW alumni in order to provide:

1. Community Building – Ensure undergraduates become connected with the Department, faculty, and alumni/industry from the beginning of their time on campus.

2. Career Awareness – Ensure students are familiar with and remain up-to-date on opportunities in agribusiness and other appropriate career fields of their major.

3. On-campus Success – Ensure students are gaining the skills/characteristics while on campus that they need to compete in the job market after graduation.

4. Post-graduation Success – Ensure students have exposure to: i) the skills/qualities in demand across the agricultural supply chain, ii) job search skills, iii) application and interview skills, and iv) a network of alumni and industry mentors.
