LED Matrix
Last Updated: 8/14/18
Most of us have an 8x8 LED matrix from one of our Arduino kits. What can we do with them? This module investigates how to use these interesting devices. Along the way, we describe a fun electronics game that resembles “battleship,” in which the player tries to figure out how the LED Matrix is wired internally. It doesn't sound fun but it is!
It turns out that the standard 8x8 LED matrix is not so easy to use because of all the wiring required and all the Arduino pins that are used - hence there aren't a lot of projects that use it. We describe a fairly inexpensive version of the LED matrix that is much easier to use and can be incorporated into your projects.

The presentation material and the code can be downloaded at LEDMatrix.
