The web weather station is an expansion on projects completed during the RAMPED and ESP4T workshops. It combines the strength of the Arduino Uno’s sensor reading with the processing power and Web enabled of the Raspberry Pi. The Arduino uses a C program to periodically read temperature and humidity from a DHT 11 sensor. This information is then sent through a serial connection to the Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi then posts the data to a ThingSpeak channel, which automatically creates a graph of the data versus time. Further analysis of this can be performed using the tools provided by ThingSpeak.

The presentation material and the code can be downloaded at Online Weather Station.
