The Construction Management Club

The University of Wyoming Construction Management Club serves as a bridge between students and the construction industry by providing opportunities for professional development, networking, and leadership. Through events such as industry panels, networking tournaments, community service projects, and partnerships with organizations like the Associated General Contractors of Wyoming, the club helps students build meaningful connections with professionals while gaining real-world insight into the industry.

As an official AGC Student Chapter, the club is committed to supporting the growth of future construction leaders by creating opportunities for students to engage with industry partners, develop practical skills, and strengthen the Construction Management community at the University of Wyoming.

CM Club Recent Events

Jae Foundation

The University of Wyoming Construction Management Club recently had the opportunity to partner with the Jae Foundation and receive their Jae Boots. Prior to the event, students participated in community service to help prepare the space, emphasizing the importance of giving back and supporting one another. Members of the club then listened to Jae’s story and reflected on the importance of checking in on friends, classmates, and colleagues. Each student was presented with a pair of cowboy boots as a symbol of their commitment to advocating for mental health for themselves and others. The Construction Management Club is grateful for the experience and looks forward to continuing its partnership with the Jae Foundation in the future.

AGC Donation to the student chapter

The University of Wyoming Construction Management Club recently received a generous donation from the Associated General Contractors of Wyoming in support of the university’s new AGC Student Chapter. The contribution followed the AGC State Conference in Jackson Hole, where student leaders shared updates on the program and its continued growth.

This support will help expand opportunities for students through industry engagement, networking, competitions, and professional development. The UW Construction Management Club is grateful for AGC of Wyoming’s partnership and continued investment in the future of the construction industry.

Corn Hole Tournament

The University of Wyoming Construction Management Club recently hosted a cornhole tournament that brought students and industry professionals together for a night of friendly competition, food, and networking. Students had the opportunity to face off against contractors while building connections with professionals from across the construction industry.

Events like this continue to strengthen the relationship between UW students and industry partners, creating valuable networking opportunities and fostering a strong sense of community within the Construction Management program.

Women In Construction Panel

The University of Wyoming Construction Management Club recently hosted a Women in Construction panel that brought together industry professionals and students for an engaging and insightful discussion. Panelists shared their experiences in the construction industry, offered advice to students, and spoke about the importance of supporting and empowering women in a field that continues to grow and evolve.

The conversation highlighted the value women bring to the construction industry through leadership, innovation, and diverse perspectives. Events like this help encourage the next generation of women to pursue careers in construction while strengthening connections between students and industry professionals.
