Dr. Haupt's areas of interest include construction education, construction health and safety, construction industry development and Construction 5.0.

Dr. Jacobs' research includes construction workforce development, business dynamics in family owned corporations, and integrated teaching platforms in construction education.

Dr. Zhang researches automated construction progress control, workplace safety with wearable technology innovation, applications of LiDAR in civil engineering and construction management, and construction schedule delay analysis.
Construction Research and Innovation Lab
The Construction Research and Innovation Lab (CRIL) focus on the areas of remote sensing and image interpretation, automation in construction, wearable technology, and other information technology applications for construction engineering and management, sustainability, infrastructure asset management, safety, and transportation. The graduate program offers M.S. in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in construction management
