History

A Wyoming tradition since 1987

Started by Mr. Richard Kean at Cheyenne East High School in 1987, the Wyoming We the People program has grown into one of the most recognized and well respected state programs in the nation.  We have all sorts of schools who participate in our state competition at the Wyoming Capitol in December; from competitive groups who want to win and go the National Finals in D.C. to programs who just want their students to have the experience of analyzing and researching a difficult consitutional question, developing a sound argument, and bravely facing our distinguished panels of judges.  It's high quality civic education and it has been for a long time in Wyoming!
