Civic Education Programs

Before statehood, the territory of Wyoming used this motto, "Cedant Arma Toga"....Let arms yield to the robe.  Attributed to Cicero of the Roman republic, Wyoming knew the importance of civil society over military might when forming an organized, peaceful, law-abiding place to live.  We continue this never-ending process of developing civil society through the education of our youth.

Our flagship programs are implemented in conjuntion with the national, non-partisan Center for Civic Education who is dedicated to cultivating an informed and thoughtful citizenry committed to democratic principles and actively engaged in the practice of democracy.
