Biography
Dr. Andrea J. Kunze is an Assistant Professor of Educational Research in the College of Education at the University of Wyoming. Her scholarship explores the intersections of creativity, storytelling, learning, and academic life. She is interested in what it means to live and work creatively, how stories shape our experiences and identities, and how educational institutions can better support creative and intellectual development. Across these areas, her work is grounded in the study of intellectual virtues and the ways they shape how we learn, create, inquire, and engage with others.
Dr. Kunze draws on mixed-methods, experimental, and qualitative approaches to explore complex questions in education. Her methodological interests include participatory and community-based design, think-aloud protocols, artifact analysis, eye-tracking, and the analysis of publicly available data.
At the University of Wyoming, Dr. Kunze teaches graduate courses in educational research and qualitative methodology and mentors graduate students as they develop meaningful, rigorous research projects. She is particularly interested in helping emerging researchers ask questions that matter, thoughtfully navigate the research process, and select methods that genuinely fit their questions.
