Biography

Throughout her career, Dr. Glaser has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, mental health centers, hospitals, substance use treatment programs, and higher education. She has served as an Assistant Professor in a Mental Health Counseling program for the past seven years and has taught and presented internationally in India, China, South America, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, and throughout the United States. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing depression, mood disorders, substance use concerns, autism spectrum disorders, obesity-related challenges, and life transitions. She is Gottman Method trained and EMDR certified, bringing evidence-based approaches to her work with individuals and couples.

 

Dr. Glaser welcomes clients of all ages and values creating a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment. She primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while integrating creative and expressive techniques, such as art and finger painting, to help clients feel more connected to themselves and engaged in the therapeutic process. She believes therapy should be both practical and meaningful, empowering clients with tools they can use in everyday life.

 

As a professor, researcher, and clinician, Dr. Glaser brings together evidence-based knowledge, clinical expertise, and genuine compassion. Her multicultural teaching and counseling experiences have strengthened her ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Clients often appreciate her empathetic nature, active listening, and thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy. She is passionate about fostering self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth while helping clients build fulfilling and meaningful lives. She has won multiple awards and grants: Baird Grants, Firestone Baird grant, Heritage grant, building community award, Building bridge award, Distinguished counselor educator award, Researcher of the year award by FMHCA, Member of the year award by FCA, Max parker award by FAMCD, J.ed and Betty B Price Scholarship by University of Florida, Recipient of Certificate of Excellence by University of Florida.
