Lucas Dow

Professor of Practice
Lucas Dow joins the University of Wyoming College of Education as a Professor of Practice,
bringing extensive experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE) and school leadership.
In his new role, Lucas will teach both in-person and online courses focused on CTE
and Agricultural Mechanics, preparing future educators for hands-on, real-world instruction.
A proud UW alumnus, Lucas earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology Education
and later returned to complete his K–12 Principal Certificate. He also holds a Middle
Level Endorsement from Bemidji State University and a Master’s degree in Career and
Technical Education from Ball State University.
Lucas brings a wealth of classroom and administrative experience, having served in
multiple middle and high school settings across Wyoming. His background includes teaching
CTE courses and leading schools as an administrator, giving him a deep understanding
of both instructional practice and educational leadership.
Lucas is passionate about workforce development, student engagement, and advancing
technical education in Wyoming. He is based in McWhinney Hall, office #307, and looks
forward to supporting the next generation of CTE educators.
